Chris "The Fish"

I know where I'm going when I die!

I grew up, for most of my life, in an unsaved home. Through many circumstances, the Lord worked mightily in my life and brought me to the place where I realized that I needed to be saved from my sin. I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was twelve years old. Once I received Christ as my personal Savior, I was baptized to show that I was a Christian. I know that when I die I will go to be with the Lord, because the Bible says in Romans 10:13- "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

What in the world am I going to do with my life?!

Next year I am going to M.B.B.C. with Steph, Bekah, and Bradley. I will be majoring in secondary science education and minoring in youth ministries. I really have a burden for the teenagers of this day and age. They are under so many pressures of the world today. Teens need Godly role models to show them the right path to take.

What really floats my boat-

I thoroughly enjoy volleyball. I collect lighthouses and anything that has to do with the ocean. I like to write poetry. I love kids, and mushrooms with ranch is my favorite food. I love to laugh. Also, I appreciate the great friends that God has given to me.

My funniest/most embarrassing moment:

My best friend Jenny pulled my pants down in front of the entire fifth grade. This is probably the MOST embarrassing moment.

A close second would be when my friend Neal from work put whipped cream in my hair while I was working on waitstaff. I had to finish the night with my hair all crusty. I made good tips though! The latter was probably more comical than embarrassing.

Teachers that have made the biggest difference in my life-

Mr. LaFleur has been the teacher that I look up to the most. (Don't tell him though.) He cares for all of us kids like we were his own. A very close second would be Mrs. Terpstra. She taught some good English.

My favorite Bible verses-

Romans 8:28,"And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

I like this verse because it reminds me of how the Lord has worked everything out for His glory in my life.

Philippians 1:20-n-21 (My life verses),"According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

I chose these verses not only because they are my life verses but also because it encourages me to be bold in my Christian life.

My favorite class in school-

Of course, computer class is my favorite. But my most favoritest classes (how do you like that Mrs.T?) are Biology and English.

A note to my friends

You all are a special gift from God. I will always cherish the memories that we have shared together. Thank you for uplifting me when I have fallen away from what is right, or just letting me know that you care without ever verbally stating that you do.

May God bless you as you truly start the life that He has planned for you. Run the race with patience like the Apostle Paul said. You have one life to serve, and only what you do for the Lord will have eternal value.

Take each step of your journey with the thought in mind that you can never take the step back. Each day gone by is sealed for eternity, and the choices you make today will directly affect your tomorrow. Make your choices according to what God would have you to do..... Always check with Him first!

Finish the course; keep the faith. -Chris
